Marlysa Sullivan

Marlysa Sullivan is a physical therapist and yoga therapist. She has been involved in research describing an explanatory framework for yoga therapy through both neurophysiological and philosophical perspectives including polyvagal theory and eudaimonic and spiritual wellbeing. She is the author of Understanding Yoga Therapy: Applied Philosophy and Science for Well-being as well as Yoga and Science in Pain Care. She is an assistant professor at Maryland University of Integrative Health and has been involved in research studies of yoga for populations including chronic pain, sickle cell disease, cognitive decline/dementia, osteoarthritis. She is also the PT coordinator of the Empowered Veterans Program at the Atlanta VA.
