    Naya Jones

    Naya Jones, PhD (she/her/hers) is a geographer and cultural worker. Through research and arts, she studies and reimagines Black geographies of health and healing. As a scholar-practitioner, she works closely with fellow Black, indigenous, and people of color healing arts practitioners and social justice organizations. Naya has guided meditation and ceremonia since 2008. She draws inspiration from her Blaxicana roots. She continues to learn with elders and is currently an apprentice with the School of Good Juju (Angela Smith). Naya is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Global and Community Health at the University of California Santa Cruz.
